Siphonic Storm Drainage Systems

Traditional gravity storm drainage requires sloped pipe dictating the need for multiple vertical stacks within the design. Siphonic drainage allows the pipe to run dead level flat, utilizes half the diameter pipework, and provides 3-4x faster discharge for less ponding.

Outline: Do gravity drains hit a failure point? What are the standards and/or codes governing siphonic roof drainage? What are siphonic roof drains? What is the install difference for siphonic roof drains (bracing, siphon break, cleanouts)? What are the benefits of siphonic roof drainage?

By the end of the presentation, all those in attendance will be able to understand the value of a siphonic system can bring to their project. Not only the monetary value, but also the improved efficiency and safety it brings to the building.
